Detectives in Nakuru County are investigating the suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a 57-year-old man who was found lifeless in a hotel room he had reserved with a 21-year-old woman.
According to a statement from the police, Geoffrey Njoroge Maina checked into the hotel with Joy Moragwa on Tuesday, October 24, around 1 pm.
However, at approximately 5 pm, Moragwa approached the hotel’s reception and reported that Maina was experiencing “breathing difficulties.”
Subsequently, Maina was discovered deceased in the hotel room. The police statement noted that the scene was examined by officers from Kaptembwo Police Station and DCI Nakuru West. No visible physical injuries were found on the body.
The body has been transported to the Nakuru County Municipal Morgue, pending a post-mortem examination. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Maina’s death continues.
