Mumias East Member of Parliament (MP) Peter Salasya has expressed his desire for a wife who is willing to stay in the village, highlighting that he values a more grounded lifestyle.

He explained, “The problem is that I want a lady who will agree to remain in the village, but they don’t want that. They want to accompany me wherever I go, whether it’s Nairobi or anywhere else.”

Salasya also mentioned that he believes he wouldn’t have achieved his current milestones if he had a family earlier in his life.

He elaborated, “If I had a wife at the time, I would not have achieved these milestones because every time I come home, my wife would question why I gave out KSh300 at a fundraiser yet there is no food in the house. It would be chaos all the time. So I chose to live a freestyle life.”

It’s worth noting that Salasya’s recent statement about his preference for a wife who stays in the village comes after he declared his interest in marrying a White woman in previous days.
