Babu Owino opens up on his days of using cocaine
Babu Owino’s top performance report comes days after another controversial report on his days of using drugs. The Embakasi East MP earlier this week opened up about his substance abuse including the use of cocaine. Babu also revealed that he decided to go sober in 2020.

In a media interview, the MP admitted to a history of using hard liquor, cocaine, and traditional brews. He however emphasized that he had since turned his life around.
“The moment you are in your youth, you are very energetic, you want to explore and experience the adventure. I don’t regret having been in that life because now it has made me wiser. It also makes me know it’s not good to be involved in such a lifestyle,” he said.
The MP disclosed that he decided to quit drugs in January 2020. He explained that the intense lifestyle had become overwhelming, leading him to a breaking point.
