Mugithi artist Samidoh’s estranged wife, Edday Nderitu, has expressed gratitude towards US-based music promoter Bernice Saroni, acknowledging that without her, she and her daughter might have faced dire circumstances.
Edday, who is a mother of three, commended Bernice for being the pivotal factor that prevented potential tragedy, ensuring her survival and her daughter’s avoidance of rehab.
Edday was responding to a TikTok video posted by Bernice addressing critics who accused her of playing a role in Edday’s marriage troubles.
Edday wrote, “May God bless you, gal. Whatever you did for me and my kids, it’s something I can’t even explain. My daughter could have been in rehab, and I would be 6 feet under.”
The controversy began when Bernice shared insights into keeping her relationship private, leading critics to blame her for Edday’s separation.
One critic, Charity K, accused Bernice of being the reason Edday left her marriage to Samidoh, to which Bernice responded affirmatively, stating, “Yes, and I am very proud of myself.”
Bernice further addressed the criticism in a TikTok video, asserting that Edday and the children are now happier in the US. She emphasized the challenges of facilitating Edday’s relocation, highlighting her pride in their thriving and contented life in the United States.
“Being a side chick, this thing really hurts you, and you don’t get satisfied. Actually, I am super, super proud of myself for what I did for her. Bringing her to the US, do you think coming to the US is easy? Coming with kids! I am super proud of myself. Today, being Thanksgiving, one thing I am grateful to God for is Edith being in the US. Don’t you see how she glows? Don’t you see how her kids glow?”
Edday left Kenya for the US in May saying that she cannot be in a polygamous marriage after her husband hooked up with nominated senator Karen Nyamu
