Police are currently detaining four Nigerian men in connection with the death of a 25-year-old individual in the Riruta area of Nairobi.

The victim, identified as Charles Waga Otieno, allegedly jumped from the fifth floor of an apartment following a confrontation with the four Nigerians, who were occupants of the residence.

Law enforcement officers responded to the scene and determined that the deceased had gone to deliver a carpet to the apartment on the seventh floor, Room 56, rented by one of the Nigerian individuals. The Nigerian had reportedly paid him Sh400 for the task. Subsequently, the victim was heard screaming, undressing, and ultimately leaping from the fifth floor to the ground floor, sustaining severe head injuries.

Emergency services rushed him to Coptic Hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival.

The four foreign nationals have been apprehended, pending ongoing investigations by the police who are treating the case as a murder.

The motive behind the victim’s decision to jump to his death while naked remains unclear. The body has been transferred to the mortuary awaiting an autopsy.
