Police detectives investigating socialite Starlet Wahu murder case have appealed to Kenyans, and especially John Matara’s ex-wife to volunteer information regarding the alleged serial killer’s past and his behaviour. Matara is currently detained at the Industrial Area Police Station for a 21-day period as police investigations continue.
Matara is accused of sexually assaulting and robbing his victims, while extorting them by targeting their mobile and bank accounts. Several women have come forward, filing reports and accusing him of committing these heinous crimes.
Matara’s run came to an end when he was arrested at Mbagathi hospital. At the time of his arrest, he was seeking treatment for a stab wound suspected to have been inflicted in his confrontation with socialite Starlet Wahu.
Several other women have since surfaced and filed police reports, accusing Matara of similar crimes.
