Police in Limuru, Kiambu County, are currently hunting down a suspect involved in the fatal stabbing of a teacher at her residence in Kamirithu.
The victim, identified as 51-year-old Irene Ng’endo, was a teacher at Thigio Ndeiya Primary School. The attack occurred at her home around 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 11.
The cause of the attack had not yet been established at the time of going to press..
According to reports, neighbours discovered Ng’endo in critical condition. However, despite their efforts to rush her to the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries.
The family have called on the police to expedite the investigation process to apprehend the perpetrator before Ng’endo’s funeral rites can take place.
Area police commander Philip Mwania reported that two phones believed to have been used in the commission of the crime have been recovered.
