The Ministry of Education, under the guidance of Education PS Dr. Belio Kipsang, has issued a directive instructing parents and guardians to make school fee payments for their children through the eCitizen platform.

In a letter dated 31st January 2023 addressed to all school principals, the PS emphasized the need for compliance with the government’s requirement, urging that all fee transactions be processed through the eCitizen platform. The directive aims to streamline the fee payment process and enhance transparency.

In preparation for the upcoming launch of the system, school principals are requested to furnish their bank details, including the bank name, bank code, and branch code. This step is crucial for the seamless integration of school fee transactions into the eCitizen platform.

This move aligns with the government’s commitment to leveraging digital platforms for efficient and accountable financial transactions within the education sector. Parents and guardians are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the eCitizen platform for the timely and hassle-free payment of school fees.
