Former Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard has finalized a move to South Korean club FC Seoul.
The 31-year-old has sealed a two-year contract with the possibility of extending it for another year.
Lingard had been without a club since departing Nottingham Forest last summer. He recently parted ways with his agents, including family members, in hopes of securing a new team.
Before his tenure at the City Ground, Lingard impressed during a loan spell with West Ham in 2021. Throughout the season, he netted nine goals in 16 appearances across all competitions.
Over his distinguished career, Lingard has claimed titles such as the Europa League, FA Cup, and Carabao Cup with Manchester United, amassing 232 appearances for the Red Devils after progressing through the club’s academy.
Despite Lingard’s impressive resume, he became increasingly frustrated as numerous contract offers and inquiries following his Forest departure failed to materialize.
Lingard came close to joining Saudi Arabian side Al Ettifaq in October, but the deal collapsed at the last minute.
