The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Services (KUCCPS) has declared that the application portal for the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates will soon be open.
In a statement released on Friday, February 2, KUCCPS mentioned that its portal will be accessible for form four leavers aiming to enroll in universities, Technical Training Colleges, the Kenya Medical Training College, and TVET institutions.
Additionally, KUCCPS highlighted that the application process for candidates interested in joining the Open University of Kenya (OUK) will also be available. The application window, as stated by the placement service, will cater to 2023 KCPE candidates and form four leavers who undertook the national exam between 2000 and 2002.
“The online KUCCPS application portal will be open soon for the placement of students into universities, TVET institutions, KMTC, TTC, and OUK,” the statement read.
KCSE class of 2023 and other form four leavers (KCSE 2000 to 2022) are eligible to apply.
Meanwhile, the government has outlined plans to ensure a smooth transition for candidates into higher learning institutions, including those who scored grades E and D-. The announcement followed a recent petition by the lobby group Operation Linda Jamii, seeking to halt KUCCPS from proceeding with the placement process.
