A tragic incident unfolded outside the emergency section of a hospital in Nairobi’s South B area, resulting in the death of a 72-year-old man.
Abdalla Mohamed, a licensed gun holder, reportedly shot himself in the chin while seated in the back seat of a taxi he had hired to transport him to the hospital.
Prior to the tragic event, Mohamed had retrieved his Berreta Pistol from a safe and met with his lawyer. Following the meeting, he arranged for a taxi with one of his long-term drivers and instructed them to take him to the hospital. Upon arrival, Mohamed pulled out his gun and took his own life while waiting in the emergency area.
The motive behind Mohamed’s actions remains unclear, as does the nature of his ailment or the medical assistance he sought.
Sources indicate that Mohamed seldom carried his pistol, yet on this particular day, he chose to bring it along for his appointment with his lawyer.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident to uncover the circumstances surrounding the shooting and unravel the mystery behind Mohamed’s tragic decision.
