Celebrated Citizen TV news anchor Yvonne Okwara has separated with her husband Andrew Matole after just 10 years of marriage, sauce.co.ke can reliably report.
Reliable sources have told us that the two love birds separated one month ago. They are no longer living together at their home in the upscale Loresho neighbourhood of Nairobi.
Yvonne has also stopped using her husband’s sir name ‘Matole’ when signing in for her Thursday night prime time news bulletin at Citizen TV.
Additionally, her wedding ring has since disappeared after being a permanent fixture on her left arm for the last 10 years.
Although we cannot speculate what caused Yvonne to leave her husband, people close to them say that they have been having differences for over a year now.
The two got married under controversial circumstances in 2014 when Yvonne was working at KTN.
Matole, a veterinary doctor who was 47 at that time was rumored to be married to his first wife Alice Manyola. Yvonne was 31.
Alice and Andrew had not formally divorced but they were separated after Alice accused Andrew of being a womaniser.
Andrew and Alice have three children, Linda, Faith and Emmanuel. Andrew is also rumored to have sired another kid with one Maryanne Muthoni Waruingi.
