Controversial preacher James Ng’ang’a has expressed his concern about the popular TikTok platform, which has notably attracted a young audience and further termed Kenyan Tiktokers as cursed.

Ng’ang’a, from Neno Evangelism Centre, criticized the lack of proper guidance on the platform, branding it a chaotic space.

“This TikTok has caused ruin. You talk too much. Like crazy people. You are the cursed generation. Look at how you are dying, look at how you are drowning in the water,” he argued.

Ng’ang’a also addressed the untimely death of Brian Chira, suggesting it was not a natural occurrence as he believed God does not take away young lives.

“And now you are all going to attend the funeral of one of your own. Do you think God took him away? God doesn’t take young people. Where do you think God would take such a young child? To be with Moses, Aaron, or Elijah in heaven? That’s the devil destroying you,” he added.

Ng’ang’a criticized TikTokers who allegedly disrupted Chira’s funeral, turning it into a space for content creation rather than allowing his family to lay him to rest with respect.

On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, Kenyatta University Funeral Home was overcrowded with thousands of Kenyans who came to pay their respects to Viral TikToker Brian Chira. Chira was laid to rest the same day at his family home in Githunguri, Kiambu County.

The content creator tragically died in a hit-and-run accident on the early morning of March 16, 2024, as he was returning home from an entertainment venue.
