June Chebet Moi, the daughter of former President Daniel Arap Moi, passed away on Thursday morning, as announced by the family.
At the time of her death, June was 60 years. She was former President Moi’s youngest daughter.
The cause of her death is yet to be disclosed, although the family has requested privacy as they mourn their kin.
“We are deeply saddened to announce the passing on of our beloved, June Chebet Moi this morning,” the statement said.
“At this time of grief, we request for your prayers and privacy as we the family come to terms with the tragic loss of our sister. May her soul rest in eternal peace,” it added.
