Successful candidates will undergo a mandatory paramilitary training program for six months before being deployed to the field.
The recruitment drive began on Monday and has already covered several counties, including Lamu, Marsabit, Isiolo, Embu, Kitui, Machakos, Turkana, West Pokot, Samburu, Nandi, Migori, and Kisii.
KWS also plans to recruit 350 cadets who must possess a second-class honors lower division degree in various fields related to wildlife management, environmental science, criminology, tourism management, among others. Applicants must be aged 28 years with no criminal record.
The recruitment drive aims to bolster wildlife conservation efforts in Kenya by integrating passionate and qualified young individuals into the service.
Meanwhile, the recruitment center for Nairobi, initially scheduled at Nyayo National Stadium, has been relocated to the Kenya Utalii College sports grounds.
