Police are investigating the death of a 35-year-old woman whose body was found in her house in Kariobangi, Nairobi.
The body was discovered in a decomposed state, and it is unclear when she died or what caused her death.
She had not been seen for several days until Monday, April 22, when the residential caretaker reported a foul smell emanating from her house.
Since the house was locked from the inside, neighbors had to break in to determine the source of the smell.
A relative revealed that the woman had been complaining of stomach pains and was bleeding. The relative also mentioned attempting to contact the deceased woman for three days without any response.
The body was taken to the mortuary pending an autopsy and further investigation.
