Police in Mombasa have arrested two women in the Kisauni, Utange area for possession of narcotic drugs. The suspects, Amina Musa Chirunga and Saumu Ali Khamis, were found with sachets of cocaine valued at approximately Ksh.495,000, according to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
Acting on a tip-off, police officers conducted a raid on the suspects’ residence. “Police cordoned off the house of the two suspects, Amina Musa Chirunga and Saumu Ali Khamis, where, upon search, the cocaine estimated at a street value of Ksh.495,000 was discovered,” the DCI reported.
The arrest underscores the ongoing efforts by law enforcement agencies to combat drug trafficking in the region. The suspects are expected to face charges related to drug possession and trafficking.
