Nairobi, Kenya – June 23, 2025 — Police are investigating two sudden deaths reported over the weekend in Ngara, Nairobi and Tala, Machakos County, with both victims found unresponsive in unusual circumstances.
Woman Found Dead in Ngara Bathroom
In Ngara, the body of Mary Wangari, aged 35, was discovered in the bathroom of her rental house on June 21. According to police, Wangari is believed to have slipped and fallen while taking a shower, leading to her death.
Authorities were called to the scene after neighbors raised concern over her prolonged silence. Police confirmed that her body was taken to the city mortuary for post-mortem examination and further investigations.
“We are waiting for autopsy results to establish the exact cause of death,” a Nairobi Central police officer told Sauce.co.ke.
Man Dies While Resting in Tala Butchery
In a separate incident in Tala, Machakos County, Francis Mutua, 60, was found dead in a seated position inside a local butchery.
Mutua is reported to have visited the butchery earlier and asked to rest for a while, claiming he was feeling fatigued. The attendants allowed him to sit, assuming he had dozed off. He remained there overnight, only for staff to discover he was unresponsive the following morning.
His body was also transferred to the mortuary for an autopsy, with police launching inquiries to determine if underlying health conditions or other factors contributed to his death.
