Detectives are investigating the mysterious murder of a 35-year-old woman whose body was found inside her house in Mutuini, Waithaka area.
The victim, identified as Grace Muthoni, was discovered with visible bruises on her neck, indicating she may have been strangled. Police believe the killing occurred hours before her body was found.
According to police reports, Muthoni’s 12-year-old son made the shocking discovery when he returned home after forgetting some of his school items at Nembu Primary School.
Authorities confirmed that Muthoni’s husband went missing after the Tuesday morning incident and is currently being sought for questioning.
The body of the deceased was moved to the city mortuary pending a postmortem, while detectives from Waithaka Police Station have launched a manhunt for the suspect.
Police have urged residents to remain vigilant and report any information that could help trace the suspect, as investigations continue.
