Ngong, Kenya –Police in Ngong have arrested a man suspected of being behind a series of sexual assaults targeting couples and pilgrims in the Vet Farm area since 2022.
Former Nairobi County Officer in Custody
According to Ngong Officer Commanding Station (OCS) Jacob Ndunda, the suspect is believed to be a former inspectorate officer with the Nairobi County Government and a resident of Embulbul.
During his arrest on Wednesday, officers found a facemask, handcuffs, and other items allegedly used to commit the crimes. In several reported cases, the man is said to have handcuffed male companions before leading the female victims to a nearby thicket, where he allegedly raped them.

Pattern of Attacks on Couples and Pilgrims
Investigators allege the suspect targeted picnicking couples and religious pilgrims visiting the scenic Vet Farm location.
Police are now urging anyone who may have been a victim to report to the Ngong Police Station for identification and to assist with investigations.

The arrest comes amid heightened calls to address gender-based violence and sexual assault cases across the country. According to Amnesty International Kenya, survivors often face challenges in accessing justice, making timely arrests and investigations critical.
