Shock and grief have gripped Elburgon after an elderly couple was brutally murdered, allegedly by their farm worker.

The victims, Pius Machogu (72) and his wife Jerusha Kwamboka (70), were reportedly killed before their bodies were dumped in a pit latrine within their compound.

Grim Discovery

Concerned neighbors raised the alarm after failing to trace the couple for several hours. Upon searching, they made the chilling discovery of the bodies hidden inside the latrine.

Police officers, with the help of locals, retrieved the remains before launching investigations.

Suspect Arrested

The prime suspect, a farm worker who had attempted to flee, was apprehended and is currently in police custody. Authorities have assured residents that justice will be served as investigations continue.

Community in Mourning

Residents of Elburgon have described the late Machogu and his wife as peace-loving and highly respected members of the community. Their deaths have left the area in deep shock and sorrow.

Police have urged locals to remain calm and allow due process to take its course as the probe unfolds.
