Police in Imenti, Meru County, are investigating the suspected murder of a 68-year-old man whose body was found dumped in River Rware.
The deceased, identified as Francis Mugwika, was discovered by a passerby who quickly alerted authorities.
According to police, the body had visible bruises on the forehead, and blood was oozing from the left ear, suggesting a violent attack.
The motive of the killing remains unclear as investigations continue. The body has since been moved to the Meru Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
Detectives have launched a full probe to identify those behind the murder and bring them to justice.
