Police officers in Timboroa have intercepted a major drug trafficking operation, seizing cannabis worth Sh2 million and arresting one suspect along the Eldoret–Nakuru Highway.
According to the National Police Service (NPS), the operation on October 13, 2025, was launched following a public tip-off about a suspicious vehicle.
How the Drug Bust Unfolded
Officers from Timboroa Police Station stopped a metallic grey Toyota Noah, registration number KCE 542R, suspected to be transporting narcotics.
A detailed search revealed four sacks containing 759 brooms of cannabis hidden in the vehicle.
The drugs were confiscated as evidence, and the vehicle was impounded. One suspect was arrested and remains in custody pending arraignment.

In a statement, the NPS commended the officers for their swift and coordinated response, noting that community cooperation was key to the successful operation.
“This successful operation highlights the dedication of our officers in combating drug trafficking. We remain committed to disrupting narcotics networks and safeguarding our communities,” read part of the statement.
