At least 20 TikTok content creators have been arrested for allegedly harassing women indecently and filming dangerous stunts in the middle of busy roads around Eastleigh, Pangani, and Muthaiga areas.
Police say the suspects were recording themselves while approaching and harassing unsuspecting women and creating risky content on active roadways, putting their lives and those of motorists at risk.
The arrests were carried out following complaints from members of the public and heightened surveillance by law enforcement officers.
The group is currently being held at Pangani Police Station and is expected to be arraigned in court on Wednesday, January 21, as investigations continue.
Authorities have warned social media users against engaging in reckless behavior for online fame, emphasizing that content creation does not excuse criminal acts or public endangerment.
