NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 8, 2026 — Popular YouTuber and entrepreneur Robert Ndegwa Kamau, famously known as Thee Pluto, has opened up about the deeper values that made him fall in love with his wife, revealing that their relationship was never about hype, fame, or social media approval.
In an emotional post shared on his Instagram page, Pluto said their bond grew from friendship into marriage through purpose, discipline, and a shared vision for life.
The influencer, who has previously spoken about choosing privacy over public spectacle, said love, for him, meant growth.
From a Heavy Season to a Lifetime Bond
Pluto revealed that he met his wife during a difficult chapter in his life. What began as friendship slowly evolved into something stronger.
Despite coming from different backgrounds, he said their paths aligned naturally.
“From friendship born in a season when life was heavy, to a bond that carried us across the world. We come from two different globes, but somehow our paths aligned,” Pluto wrote.
The Power of One Word: “We”
According to Pluto, what drew him closer was not beauty or noise online, but mindset.
He explained that his wife spoke about the future using the word “we”, even before marriage.
“What pulled me closer wasn’t noise or appearances. It was how naturally she spoke in ‘we’ when talking about the future. That told me everything,” he said.
This, he noted, showed intention and emotional maturity.

Unlike many public figures’ partners, Pluto’s wife avoids the spotlight.
He described her as a focused medical professional who earned her doctorate through discipline and sacrifice.
“She’s not an online person, not chasing attention. She’s focused, disciplined, and purpose-driven,” Pluto said.
Pluto has previously urged young people to focus on growth over online validation.
How His Wife Pushed Him to Level Up
Pluto credited his wife for challenging him academically and mentally.
He recalled a moment when she encouraged him to aim higher.
“She looked at my undergraduate level and said, ‘You can do more, we’re the same age buana,’” he shared.
That push, he said, changed him.
“Sometimes love doesn’t pamper you. It pushes you,” Pluto added.
Unconditional Love for His Daughter
Beyond ambition, Pluto praised his wife for embracing his daughter fully and without conditions.
He said she accepted his flaws and still chose to stand by him.
“She loved my daughter like her own. She saw my flaws clearly and still chose me,” he said.
Pluto concluded by saying their marriage was a deliberate and intentional decision.
“And I chose her, just as intentionally, to walk this lifetime journey together.”
