Residents of Kariobangi North in Nairobi County are raising alarm over rising insecurity after criminals broke into a popular video house on Saturday night.

The video house, located near Wedewo Bar along Kamunde Road, is a common spot where locals gather to watch football matches.

Door Destroyed, Television Stolen

According to reports, the perpetrators forcefully destroyed the door to gain entry into the premises. Once inside, they stole one television set and vandalized another before fleeing the scene.

The extent of the damage has left the business owner counting losses, while football fans in the neighborhood have been temporarily deprived of their usual viewing spot.

Rising Insecurity in Kariobangi North

The incident has further heightened fears among residents of Kariobangi North, who say security in the area has significantly deteriorated in recent weeks.

Locals report an increase in break-ins and other forms of criminal activity, forcing many to live in fear. Community members are now calling on security agencies to intensify patrols and restore order in the neighborhood.
