Kalondu Musyimi Returns to TV as Host of KBC’s Rebranded Club 1 Xtra

Media personality Kalondu Musyimi is set to make her television comeback this Friday after landing a new hosting role at Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC).

Kalondu will host the newly rebranded entertainment show Club 1 Xtra, which will air every Friday starting at 4:30 PM.

The revamped programme promises a lively blend of music, pop culture, celebrity interviews and youth-focused entertainment, positioning it as a key weekend starter for viewers across the country.

Kalondu Musyimi to Lead Fresh Entertainment Show

Known for her vibrant on-screen presence and engaging personality, Kalondu will take the lead as the face of the show, connecting with audiences through trending conversations, celebrity guest interviews and interactive segments.

She will be co-hosting the programme alongside DJ Brito, with the duo expected to bring an energetic vibe to the entertainment platform.

Club 1 Xtra Rebrand Signals New Era at KBC

The rebrand of Club 1 Xtra marks a fresh chapter for the long-running entertainment platform on the national broadcaster.

According to the broadcaster, the new format will introduce fresh segments, new talent and a stronger focus on youth culture, trending topics and developments in Kenya’s entertainment scene.

Speaking ahead of her debut on March 6, Kalondu expressed excitement about joining the show and connecting with viewers.

“Entertainment is about connection, energy and storytelling. I’m excited to be part of the new chapter of Club 1 Xtra and to bring viewers an experience that feels fresh, fun and authentic every Friday,” she said.

The new show is expected to give audiences a dynamic mix of music and pop culture conversations while spotlighting emerging and established talents in Kenya’s entertainment industry.
