A man was killed following a domestic altercation in Mukuru kwa Njenga, Embakasi Sub-County in Nairobi, in the early hours of April 19, 2026.
According to police, the deceased, identified as Muthiani Muthee, had gone to a pub operated by his wife, where he reportedly found her sleeping alongside several other individuals.
A confrontation ensued after he accused those present of engaging in inappropriate activities.
During the altercation, Muthee is said to have drawn a knife. However, his wife allegedly overpowered him and pushed him to the ground.
Moments later, he was found bleeding profusely.
Police officers who responded to the scene, located west of the station, found the man lying on his back outside the pub with a deep cut to the throat. The suspected murder weapon, a knife, was recovered at the scene.
Two individuals, including the wife, were arrested. Police said both suspects appeared physically fit but had bloodstains on their clothes.
They are currently in custody and are assisting with investigations.
The scene was processed by Scenes of Crime officers from Embakasi, and the body was moved to Nairobi City Mortuary pending a post-mortem examination.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
