Police have launched investigations after the naked body of a young woman was discovered dumped in a thicket in the Medula area of Bondo, Siaya County.
Residents who came across the body alerted authorities, prompting police officers to visit the scene and begin investigations into the suspected murder.
According to witnesses, the identity of the deceased has not yet been established.
Residents believe the woman may have been killed elsewhere before her body was dumped in the secluded area.
Those who viewed the body also reported that it bore visible injuries, raising suspicions that she was subjected to a violent attack before her death.
Detectives have since launched investigations to establish the woman’s identity, determine the circumstances surrounding her death and trace those responsible for the killing.
The body was moved to a local mortuary pending identification, a post-mortem examination and further investigations.
