A youthful man who had gone to enjoy himself at a sex den in Majengo, Nairobi was nearly killed by a mob after he stabbed a sex worker he had disagreed with on the chest with a chisel.

Mohamed Barak Sam was saved by the police as members of the public descended on him with blows and kicks after the injured sex worked screamed for help.

The sex worker told the police that Barak could not attain an erection after a whole hour of trying. She then asked him to pay for the time he had spent at the brothel which led to an argument between the two.

During the argument, Barak brandished a chisel from his pocket and drove it through his victim’s chest. The sex worker rushed to the door and locked him in the house before raising an alarm which attracted members of the public.

The police who rescued him immediately put him under arrest and rushed him to the Makadara Law Courts to take a plea for unlawfully assaulting and causing bodily injuries to the sex worker whose name we cannot publish.

However once in court, Barak was so badly injured that he could not even stand to answer to his charges. The magistrate instructed the police to take him to the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) for treatment before releasing him on a Sh10,000 cash bail.

The case will be mentioned on January 23.
