Former TV anchor Jacque Maribe and ex-lover Joseph Irungu ‘Jowie’ will today know whether they have a case to answer in the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani.

The two are accused of killing Kimani on the night of September 19, 2018, at Lamuria Gardens in Kilimani after she returned from a business trip to South Sudan. The prosecution has maintained that Jowie and Maribe who at the time staying together at Royal Park Apartments in Langata were directly responsible for the murder of Kimani.

Maribe has maintained her innocence over the murder saying that she was only happening to date the person who should be accused of the killing at the time it happened. Jowie on the other hand has claimed Kimani might have been killed by an unknown man at her house on a fateful night in 2018.

The court has heard testimonies from 35 witnesses. High Court judge Grace Nzioka will deliver her ruling today.
