His lawyer Danstan Omari now says that the former Cabinet Secretary will not show up at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) until he receives a formal summon.

Matiangi is also currently under the EACC radar over his wealth from 2013-2022 after the anti-graft agency wrote to the head of public service on the same.

His lawyer claimed that his client was not aware of any investigations against him but he welcomes any action by officers as is their constitutional mandate.
