KAJIADO Kenya, June 27 -Two minors were burnt beyond recognition on Tuesday June 27 in Saina Estate, Kajiado County.

According to preliminary investigations by the police, the fire is suspected to have been started by their mother, Salome Williams.

The fire, which started at around 2 pm, spread quickly and neighbours only managed to save the woman who was inside the house alongside her children aged 2 and 10.

“People continued to battle the fierce fire using private water-bowsers and finally managed to put off the fire only to discover the bodies of the two children,” police said in their report.

The woman is said to have had a quarreled with the husband over the phone for the last two weeks.

“The husband is alleged to have been cohabiting with another woman and he has been away for two last weeks and calling to quarrel with the wife,” police added.

The bodies of the two children were moved to Kajiado Referral Hospital awaiting postmortem while the mother, who is nursing serious injuries, is also recuperating at the same facility.
