Mama Ngina’s security withdrawn

The state has withdrawn its security officers from the residences of former First Lady, Mama Ngina Kenyatta in Gatundu and Muthaiga.

The security personnel, consisting of officers from the General Service Unit and Administration Police, were instructed to leave their duty posts and report to the nearest police station last evening.

What makes this situation more concerning is that the former First Lady was not given any prior notification regarding the withdrawal of her security personnel, leaving her unaware of the government’s decision.

Prior to the first recall that took place last year, Mama Ngina Kenyatta enjoyed the protection of a total of 30 officers across all her properties. The highest-ranking officer among them held the position of a chief inspector.

However, after the recent withdrawal, she was left with a mere eight officers in total, with the highest-ranking officer being a senior sergeant. Now, even these remaining officers have been recalled, leaving her without any official security personnel.

The reasons behind the government’s sudden withdrawal of security details for the former First Lady have not been disclosed at this time. The move has raised questions and concerns about the safety and well-being of Mama Ngina Kenyatta in the absence of proper security arrangements.
