Safaricom PLC has revealed plans to temporarily close all its outlets within Nairobi city on Friday, October 6, 2023.

The telecommunications giant issued an official announcement on Wednesday, specifying that only their branches located at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) will remain operational on Friday.

According to Safaricom, regular services will be reinstated on Saturday, October 7, 2023. For any inquiries or assistance during this period, customers are encouraged to engage with the virtual assistant, Zuri, contact customer care, or visit their nearest Safaricom dealer.

Safaricom has clarified that the temporary closure of its shops is essential to facilitate internal processes, though specific details regarding these processes were not provided in the statement.

Safaricom outlets offer a range of services to customers, including customer care assistance, SIM card replacements, SIM card swaps, bill payments, line registration, the sale of phones and accessories, as well as data provision.
