The primary suspect linked to the murder of Eric Maigo, the Acting Finance Director at Nairobi Hospital, is now set to face murder charges. The prosecution has informed the court that the investigation against the suspect has been completed, and they are seeking to close the miscellaneous file in order to proceed with charging the individual with murder.
Anne Adhiambo, the accused, was brought before the court last Wednesday, with the prosecution requesting that she be detained until the investigation concludes. During that time, the court was made aware that crucial pieces of evidence, including the analysis of CCTV footage and bloodstains from the crime scene, were pending.
CCTV cameras had captured Adhiambo attempting to flee the scene of Maigo’s murder on the morning of October 15th in the Jamhuri area of Nairobi. She was later apprehended in Olympic, Kibra, with the assistance of diligent detectives and members of the public who provided essential information on her whereabouts.
Adhiambo is accused of being the mastermind behind the brutal murder of Maigo. His lifeless body was discovered in his residence, bearing a shocking 25 stab wounds. The progression in the case indicates that justice may soon be served for this heinous crime.
