Cori Broadus, the daughter of rapper Snoop Dogg, disclosed on Thursday that she has experienced a “severe stroke”. Cori is only aged 24.
Using her Instagram account under the pseudonym CHOC, she posted a photo from a hospital bed, accompanied by a message to her followers
“I had a severe stroke this am. I started breaking down crying when they told me,” she wrote on Instagram.
In a subsequent Instagram story post, where text obscured her face, she further expressed her disbelief at the situation, saying, “Like I’m only 24. What did I do in my past to deserve all of this.”
At the time of publishing this post, Snoop Dogg had not publicly commented on his daughter’s health crisis.
Cori Broadus had previously been diagnosed with lupus at the age of 6.
Lupus is an autoimmune disease where the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks its own tissues. Lupus also currently lacks a cure.
In 2023, Broadus shared insights into her strategy for managing lupus, revealing her decision to forego medications and opt for a more “natural” approach to her health.
Broadus has over 650,000 followers on Instagram. She also serves as the CEO of the makeup brand Choc Factory Co.
She is one of three children of the renowned rapper, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, and his wife Shante.
The couple also has two sons, 29-year-old Corde and 26-year-old Cordell.
