Authorities in Nakuru have launched a manhunt for a murder suspect who fatally attacked his 39-year-old girlfriend, Consolata Wandia, before fleeing the scene.
Wandia, a single mother of one, had visited her boyfriend, Harun Komondi, unaware of his sinister intentions. Komondi allegedly strangled her to death and abandoned her lifeless body in the house.
Despite intensive efforts by law enforcement, the suspect remains at large as police intensify their search to apprehend him and bring him to justice on murder charges.
Tragically, Wandia’s untimely demise leaves behind her son, who is currently a high school student in form 1.
Before her tragic death, Wandia was employed as a sales lady in one of the businesses located in Nakuru town.
This unfortunate incident adds to the alarming trend of femicide cases in the country, prompting activists to advocate for increased government interventions aimed at safeguarding the lives of women.
