Police officers are currently probing a tragic incident at a construction site in Diani, Kwale County, where a mason lost his life after he was electrocuted.
The unfortunate event unfolded on Monday evening in Kibundani, located within Ukunda Township. The victim, identified as Kevin Ochieng, met his untimely demise while at work.
According to witnesses present at the scene, Ochieng had leaned against the wall window of a nearby house to take a moment of rest. Tragically, he inadvertently made contact with a live naked wire, resulting in fatal electrocution.
Law enforcement authorities swiftly responded to the distress call and arrived at the site. They subsequently transferred Ochieng’s body to the mortuary for further examination through an autopsy as part of the ongoing investigation into the incident.
