Belle Silva, spouse of Chelsea defender Thiago Silva, has issued an apology following what appeared to be criticism aimed at Blues manager Mauricio Pochettino and a call for changes within the club.
The team’s recent 4-2 loss against Wolves marked their 10th defeat in the Premier League, leaving them in the 11th position on the table.
After the game, Belle took to X to express her thoughts: “It’s time to change. If you wait any longer it will be too late.”
In response to her comment, Pochettino revealed that he had a conversation with Silva regarding her statement.
“I’m sorry that my personal outburst as a passionate Chelsea fan has caused such an impact,” Belle expressed in a new post on X on Wednesday. “I’m passionate about the team, I thrive on victories and I’m saddened by defeats.
“We all want the same thing, a winning team, come on Chelsea.”
Additionally, it came to light that Belle Silva had previously endorsed a tweet labeling former Chelsea manager Graham Potter as a “deadbeat” manager who “doesn’t know what he is doing,” shortly before his dismissal last year.
