The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has arrested several pedestrians in Nairobi for what they describe as a failure to utilize designated footpaths and footbridges.
“This morning, several pedestrians who failed to adhere to traffic regulations were apprehended,” stated NTSA.
“Pedestrians are required to utilize accessible footbridges, walkways, and other assigned crossing areas to safeguard their safety,” NTSA emphasized on Tuesday, also stressing the importance of pedestrians obeying traffic regulations.
In order to prevent any disruptions and accidents, NTSA encouraged pedestrians to comply with traffic regulations.
There have been several grisly accidents with pedestrians who fail to use footbridges in busy highways being run over by speeding vehicles.
