Sanaipei Tande has in the last few days found herself at the center of online chatter, with rumors circulating that she is pregnant and trying to keep it under wraps.
However, the acclaimed musician has stepped forward to put these speculations to rest.
In an interview released on Lynn Ngugi’s YouTube channel on Tuesday, Tande addressed the swirling rumors, revealing that they hold no truth. Reflecting on her journey in the limelight, she opened up about the challenges of navigating through the sea of gossip and false narratives that often accompany fame.
“At 19, when I first entered the industry, I naively believed everything was black and white,” Tande shared. “But as I gained experience behind the scenes, I realized that people can fabricate entire stories out of thin air. There’s a lot of fear initially, thinking everything is straightforward. But then you realize that individuals can create narratives or try to trap you in compromising situations just to spin a tale.”
The seasoned entertainer emphasized that she has learned to disregard the agendas of rumor-mongers. “I used to be affected because I was young and impressionable. However, with time, I came to understand that the world operates in shades of gray. There are individuals out there who will go to extreme lengths to push a narrative.”
Tande highlighted the importance of discerning between positive and negative news, asserting her resilience against the onslaught of rumors. “Rumors no longer hold sway over me. Say what you will. Just last week, Twitter (now X) decided to impregnate me with gossip,” she quipped.
Addressing cyberbullying, she made her stance clear: “Even after two decades, some people have yet to grasp that I will not divulge my personal information. So when they come asking, it’s like talking to a brick wall. I refuse to engage. And just like that, the storm passes. What was a hot topic last week is now yesterday’s news. As long as you know your truth, the noise shouldn’t faze you.”
