A 65-year-old man met his death on Saturday after he was attacked while bathing along the shores of Lake Turkana by a crocodile.
According to police, Kharite Loitabwa had told his relatives that he was going to the lake to take a bath but he failed to return.
His body was later found floating in the lake.
Police and Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) officers visited the scene at the lake’s shores and retrieved the body.
The police said most parts of the body had been eaten by crocodiles.
The remaining body was positively identified by the family and later handed over to them for burial as per Islamic rites.
