FKF Premier League defending champions Gor Mahia will host their arch-rivals, the AFC Leopards, in the much-anticipated Mashemeji Derby at a match that will take place on Sunday, April 21, 2023, at the Nyayo National Stadium.

The match that will start at 3.00 pm will be streamed live on Azam Sport 3HD, KBC Radio Taifa, Mayienga FM, Ingo FM, Minto FM, Ngemi FM, KBC English Service, and Pwani FM.

FKF has also prohibited recording of the match for both editorial and commercial purposes, ensuring that it will make arrangements to provide match highlights after the match and that post-match interviews will be held in the press conference room and not on the pitch side.

Ticket prices for the match have been set at Ksh. 1000 for VIP seats and Ksh. 300 for regular seats, of which purchases will commence on the match day starting from 7 a.m. at Kenya Cinema, Tom Mboya statue next to the National Archives, City Stadium, Riadha House, and Nyayo Stadium opposite the Police Post Gate, warning that no tickets shall be sold inside the stadium.

In a press statement sent to newsrooms, FKF said accredited journalists will access the stadium through VIP gate A and shall be required to sit at the designated media tribune, below the VVIP stand.

“Photographers shall be required to don their media bibs at all times while at the pitch side and shall keep a 3-metre distance away from the by-line,” stressed FKF, adding that movement across the touchline while the match is in progress will not be condoned.

The Federation has also called upon Gor Mahia fans who wish to access the VIP stand to access the area via VIP Gate A, while those with regular tickets should use Gates 2 and 3.

AFC Leopards fans have also been told to access the VIP stand via VIP Gate B, while those with regular tickets should use Gates 8 and 10.

Fans interested in watching the match have been advised to be at the stadium early enough, as the gates will be locked at 2.30 p.m.

“The fans shall be required to sit at their designated zones, the right side for Gor Mahia fans and the left side for AFC Leopards fans,” said the statement. FKF has also announced that post-match interviews will be held at the press conference room and will be open to all journalists, of whom they are expected to be present immediately after the final whistle. Coaches from both clubs are expected to attend.
