Renowned media personality Willis Raburu has parted ways with Cape Media-owned TV station TV47.
Raburu, who joined the company eight months ago, was later promoted to the position of Director of Digital Services and Innovation. His departure comes shortly after he put his show, the Wabebe Experience, on hold.
A source close to the matter confirmed Raburu’s exit, indicating that it occurred just days after he halted his show. In a farewell message quoted by a report, Raburu expressed pride and gratitude for the growth achieved during his tenure at TV47.
“As I bid farewell to the TV47 family, I am filled with a sense of pride and gratitude for the remarkable growth we’ve achieved together over the past few months,” part of his farewell message read.
On April 6, Raburu announced the temporary break of the Wabebe Experience show, assuring viewers of its return in due course.
“We would like to announce that Wabebe Experience will be taking a season break. We sincerely thank our viewers for their continued support and enthusiasm. Rest assured, we are working diligently behind the scenes to come back bigger and better than ever! Stay tuned for updates on our return! We love you and appreciate you so much,” he stated.
Raburu, who is also known for his collaborations with artists in Kenya, joined Cape Media in August 2023, two months after departing from Citizen TV.
