Kenya Power announces scheduled power interruptions in nine counties

Kenya Power has announced that several areas across the country will experience temporary power outages on Tuesday to facilitate system maintenance.

According to the utility firm, parts of Narok, Kisumu, Murang’a, Kiambu, Mombasa, Kilifi, Kwale, Kirinyaga, and Nyeri will be affected at different times between 8 AM and 5 PM.

Narok County

Residents in parts of Narok should prepare for power interruptions from 8 AM to 4 PM. The affected areas include Narok County Referral Hospital, Narok County Offices, Narok Water, Lenana East, Narok Prison, Polytechnic, and Naivas Supermarket.

Kisumu County

In Kisumu, power will be disrupted from 9 AM to 5 PM. The areas affected are Katito, Sondu, Ahero, Kochogo, Nyakwere, Nyamarimba, Kanyamlori, Kolweny, and adjacent customers.

Murang’a and Kiambu Counties

Parts of Murang’a and Kiambu counties will also face power outages from 9 AM to 5 PM. The affected locations include Ndula, Kilimambogo Teachers, Magogoni, Kiboko Farm, Kenchic, Makutano, Jawabu Quarry, Helena Quarry, Delmonte, Rubiru, Fourteen Falls Market, Dimken Farm, Duka Moja, Ngoliba Market, Ngoliba Secondary, NYS, Kithimani Market, Kabaa Market, Wings Quarry, Valem Quarry, Macvast Market, Kwa Jimmy Market, and Chui Rapids.

Kenya Power advises customers in the affected regions to plan accordingly and apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the maintenance work.
