The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has announced the suspension of Super Metro Limited’s operating license, citing non-compliance with road safety regulations.

In a statement issued on March 20, 2025, NTSA stated that the suspension will remain in effect until the company fully adheres to the Public Service Vehicles Regulations, 2014, and other required conditions.

“The decision was necessitated by the need to ensure the Company is not only compliant but that it has put in place safety measures to protect the lives of its passengers and other road users,” NTSA said.

The popular matatu sacco, known for its organized services and disciplined crew, will have to address the compliance issues before being allowed to resume operations.
