Shabana FC lit up the iconic Gusii Stadium on Sunday afternoon with a thrilling 3-1 win over Mombasa-based Bandari FC in a FKF Premier League clash that saw thousands of fans pour into the stadium in support of the Glamour Boys.

The hosts wasted no time asserting their dominance. Austine Odongo broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute with a sensational strike that sent the packed stands into a frenzy. Shabana maintained the pressure, and their persistence paid off early in the second half when Mark Okolla Mwalimu’s clever play set up Brian Michira, who slotted home the second goal to double the lead.

Bandari, determined not to go down without a fight, pulled one back in the 65th minute through their talisman Ali Halafu. The goal gave the visitors a glimmer of hope and momentarily silenced the crowd. But Shabana had the final say—Nehemiah Onchiri put the result beyond doubt with a late goal in the 87th minute, crushing any hopes Bandari had of salvaging a point from the encounter.

After the match, Shabana FC took to their X (formerly Twitter) account to thank their loyal supporters for turning out in large numbers. The club also revealed they had collected a gross revenue of Ksh1,817,000 from ticket sales.
