The deceased, identified as Dick Otieno Ombaka, reportedly got into an altercation with a fellow tout on Sunday morning. According to Nairobi police commander George Seda, the two men—both working for a matatu Sacco operating along Juja Road—were arguing over who had the right to collect money from matatus picking up passengers at the busy Temple Road stop.
In the heat of the moment, Ombaka was allegedly stabbed in the chest by his colleague. He was rushed to MSF Hospital along Juja Road but was declared dead on arrival.
