Kenyan content creator Gloria Ntazola has sparked online debate after calling out men who attempt to impress her with what she termed flashy but short-term gestures such as concert tickets and hotel stays.
In a bold post shared on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday afternoon, Gloria made it clear that such offers do not move her, distancing herself from what she described as “regular dating expectations.”
In the now-viral message, Gloria said that tickets and hotel bookings are not a measure of seriousness, noting that she can comfortably afford such things on her own.
“If you are a man and you think buying me a ticket is a big deal, you’re wrong,” she wrote. “Ticket is the cheapest thing you can mention to me. I can afford tickets and those hotel bills.”
She went on to suggest that meaningful support looks very different to her, adding that a truly serious man would focus on long-term impact rather than temporary experiences.
“If you think you want to do the most, just send me 10 million to stock up my shop. That’s what a serious man can do for a lady,” she stated.
Gloria concluded her message by drawing a clear line between herself and what she referred to as “regular girls,” saying, “Mambo za ticket you can go discuss that with your regular girls.”
Her remarks have since drawn mixed reactions online, with some praising her confidence and financial independence, while others criticised the tone of her message.
